Weekly Wrap Up 3.26.22

Well friends, I have to say this week was one of those "not much to mention" weeks. But I am going to try my best to dig down and find something to highlight because there is always something to be grateful for!

Meal of the Week:

So I don't have a specific meal of the week but can we just talk about cauliflower for a second. Cauliflower is such an underrated food. It is so versatile and can be cooked so many different ways! Riced, fried, roasted. Its a favorite in our household. I've shared a couple of recipes in my weekly wrap-ups already and plan on getting them all in one place on Pinterest soon! So be on the lookout!

Something I'm Loving:

Have you ever heard of the envelope method for budgeting and saving money? It's something I did years ago when money was really tight and decided to bring back into practice this year as part of my living intentionally movement (more to come on living intentionally this weekend). If you haven't heard of it, you create an envelope for items you're saving for or budgeting for. Each paycheck you then divide amongst the envelopes. Its amazing how fast you can save money this way and its also a good way to see where exactly you're spending your money too!

Health and Wellness:

This week I started following a different "diet" plan in conjunction with my intermittent fasting. If you didn't read last week's wrap up, (or maybe it was the week before), I talked about how counting calories was NOT for me. It was just too much work for my already scattered mom brain. I am now following Beachbody's new program, 4 Week Gut Protocol. It is A LOT of veggies, and mainly focusing on eating non-processed foods. Which lets be real, I was living off of coffee, salami, pecans and the occasional coke and rum the last few months. I NEEDED this reset! I'm on day 5 and it has been an adjustment to say the least and a little overwhelming trying to meal plan. But after a week of navigating this "new" approach to eating its becoming less daunting. I'm thinking be the end of week 2 it will become a more natural to me.

Family Highlight!

Easton started solid foods this week! So far he's had oatmeal and sweet potato. The kid devoured the sweet potatoes. I don't know about you but transitioning to solid foods is a little bit stressful in our house. Cason really struggled with grasping the concept of chewing and managed to choke on avocado. And then Kade kept the anxiety high, and still does, by shoving every last bite into his mouth all at the same time (last night it was the entire crust of his pizza). I will say, third time around I'm feeling much more relaxed about it though. So we will see how Easton does!

Happenings at Whitney Anne Creations:

I'm super excited because I am about to drop my latest planner series! Its bright, its colorful and it makes my planning heart happy! There's a few little details to finalize but this has truly been something I've been dreaming of designing and doing and I can't wait to share it with you all!
